Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the State of Qatar Tarik Sadović will participate in the work of the 13th United Nations Congress on the Prevention of Crime and Criminal Justice, which was officially opened on 12 April 2015 in Doha. The congress will be attended by about 5,000 participants. For the first time in a long tradition of the Congress, addressing the attendees was the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in his speech pointed out that the world needs more justice and equality, and that the rule of law is the basis for sustainable development and reducing the threats of crime, terrorism and corruption.
The Congress, organized by specialized organizations of the United Nations (UNODC) has a sixty year long tradition and has contributed significantly to the development of international cooperation in the fight and prevention of the most serious forms of organized crime, terrorism and corruption. For the President of the Congress was elected Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar was Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Al-Thani. During the congress, Ambassador Sadović, briefly met with the Croatian Minister of Justice Orsat Miljenić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic and other high officials.
