Ambassador Dr. Turkovic has visited Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) andIslamic Affairs and had the meeting with the Minister H.E. Dr Gaith bin MubarakAl Kuwari. H.E. Dr Gaith bin Mubarak Al Kuwari was appointed Minister ofEndowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs in 2013.His Excellency the Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs has overallresponsibility for all Endowments and Islamic Affairs issues, including: Spreading Islamic culture and education, increasing religious awareness, anddemonstrating the impact of Islam on the development of humancivilization; Overviewing the endowments department, the Zakat charity fund, and thebuilding and licensing of mosques; Supervising the education of the Holy Qur’an and overviewing theprocedures for Al Haj pilgrimage.We have also talked about the future cooperation in between similar institutions inour two countries.
