PASSPORT OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA
From 20 June 2022, the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Doha issues passports to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina residing in the State of Qatar and surrounding Gulf countries (GCC) with a residence permit, and if the passport is destroyed, damaged, stolen or lost.
The passport is valid for 10 years for 18+, for children below 3 the validity period is 3 years, while for children from 3 to 18 the validity period is 5 years.
The application for the issuance of a passport is to be submitted exclusively in person at the Embassy because it is necessary to acquire biometric data – photo, fingerprints and electronic signature.
The statutory period for passport issuance is 60 days from the day of its submission.

ADULTS
Upon arrival at the Embassy to apply for a new passport, it is necessary to bring the following documents:
1. Original passport of Bosnia and Herzegovina that is being changed or Birth certificate and Certificate of citizenship (if there is no passport or it is not valid).
2. Valid B&H document with picture
3. Proof (with picture) of a residence permit in the State of Qatar or another GCC country
4. Proof of payment of the consular fee
The consular fee for issuing a passport to an adult is 129.00 EUR.
MINORS
The application for the issuance of a passport for a child under the age of 18 is submitted by the parents or legal guardians with the obligatory presence of the child for whom the application is submitted.
To issue a passport to the minors, it is necessary that both parents have a valid ID card or a valid passport. If one of the parents is a foreign citizen, he / she should have a valid passport.
If one of the parents is not able to come to the Embassy, it is necessary to enclose his / her certified power of attorney and a copy of a valid ID card or passport.
If one of the parents performs the parental obligations himself, he is obliged to prove that with an appropriate document issued by the competent authority.
If the child is under guardianship, it is necessary to submit a document of the competent authority by which the child is placed under guardianship.
When submitting the application, it is necessary to bring the following documentation:
1. Birth certificate of the child
2. Passport of the child being changed (if any),
3. Valid B&H ID cards or passports of both parents / guardians,
4. Residence permit of parents (with picture)
5. Proof of payment of the consular fee
The consular fee for issuing a passport for a child up to the age of 3 is EUR 73.00.
The consular fee for issuing a passport for a child from 3 to 18 years of age is 78.00 EUR.
ISSUANCE OF DUPLICATE PASSPORTS
A person applying for a duplicate travel document must enclose a police certificate of lost or stolen passport and a B&H identification document (ID card, driver’s license, copy of lost / stolen passport) and proof of legal residence in Qatar or GCC.
The consular fee for issuing duplicate passports for persons 18+ is 221.00 EUR.
The consular fee for issuing a duplicate passport for persons aged 3 to 18 is 121.00 EUR
The consular fee for issuing duplicate passports for persons below 3 is 116.00 EUR.
